Wellness Practices
Breathe Boxes Organization offer trainings for partners (organizations, nonprofits, schools and agencies) within the region, who work with youth and families exposed to ACEs, trauma and toxic stress through Restorative Integral Support (RIS), a holistic approach that embraces mind, body, spirit, and community, to enhance self-care and wellness-centered practices and strengthen social networks to mobilize resilience and recovery.
We teach practical Evidence-Supported Interventions (ESI) exercises and Emerging Practices; such as Mindfulness Meditation, Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) wellness practices, for use in the classroom, in daily life and in the home to address the emotional and physical impact of ACEs, trauma, and toxic stress.
This approach helps develop body literacy and empowers children and their families with effective skills to lessen the physical and emotional symptoms related to traumatic stress
